About the Job

The main purpose of the job is to ensure all legal/statutory actions are taken in acquiring land and settlements, resolving legal cases arising out of land and revenue matters, and resettling project-affected areas without any legal hassles for the Jharia Division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve legal cases arising out of land and revenue matters.
  • Administration of sub-lease.
  • No work stoppages by affected people, govt officials, and other stakeholders.
  • Encroachment-related matters.
  • Decide the strategies for the Jharia division based on proposed downstream development and work out a plan for its Land, Lease & Legal requirements.
  • Facilitate land acquisition, site selection, and land sourcing for expansion of existing mine / various project requirements. Maintaining and updating land records. 
  • Acquisition of land for upcoming projects.
  • Appropriate negotiation with the stakeholders viz villagers, Govt. authorities, etc for purchasing direct land in the company’s interest. 
  • Coordination with the revenue department and assistance.
  • Sr.Manager in functional roles.
  • To ensure all dealings and legal/statutory actions required to keep the company’s land encroachment free and to make settlements with the stakeholders resolving any dispute and liaison with the government for its intervention when and where required.
  • Facilitate availability of land for any projects, formulate strategy, and execute smooth working without any hindrance because of any land issues.

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream with a degree in law.
  • Relevant Experience: The candidate should have legal experience in dealing with land and revenue matters. Persons having working experience in Govt land and revenue offices would be added advantage. 
  • Should have knowledge of the working of Civil courts.
