Justice Chandrachud said so while hearing a case today with Justices AS Bopanna and JB Pardiwala.
During the hearing, the Bench expressed its frustration at having to go through several lists of dates across different compilations.
“We’re just rummaging through lists of dates,” the Bench said.
To this Senior Advocate and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president Vikas Singh replied:
“I’m sorry for your lordships. Having to jump from one compilation to another.”
Justice Chandrachud then said,
“You are the Bar Association president. So we will tell you, we are planning to give everyone scanned copies of the compilations the Court will use to save time.”
The Bench added that these would be mailed to the juniors of Senior Counsel, so that the judges and arguing counsel can use common documents for reference.
