DBRANLU is organisng a National Client Counselling Competition under its annual cultural cum legal fest, SwarnUtsav from April 28-30, 2023 and is seeking registrations for the same.
About the University
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat (DBRANLU) was established by the State Government of Haryana in the year 2012, vide State Legislature Act No. 15 of 2012, in the education hub of India; Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai, Sonepat.
About SwarnUtsav
SwarnUtsav is the annual cultural cum legal fest that shall take place from April 28–30, 2023. It is a one-of-a-kind cultural cum legal fest brought to you by the bright minds of DBRANLU.
SwarnUtsav offers a unique opportunity to celebrate culture and showcase legal talent and creativity simultaneously. It combines the best of both worlds and provides a platform for students to engage with the legal community while enjoying a range of cultural activities.
About the Competition
The Moot Court Society of DBRANLU is proud to host “The National Client Counselling Competition” as part of SwarnUtsav’23.
A total 24 teams will be selected for the competition on a first-come-first-serve basis. There will be a total of 4 rounds in the competition which shall be theme specific. The topic for counselling shall be provided 24 hours prior the competition and the client will be provided on the spot.
A written memorandum that identifies the client’s problem shall be given to the participants prior to the competition. The students are expected to draw forth the preferred outcome, nature of the problem and suggest to the client, accordingly.
Eligibility
Students or participants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law, i.e., a 3-year LL.B. course or a 5-year LL.B. course from any recognized college or university, or pursuing an LL.M. from any recognized university. Students of Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Law University shall not be eligible to participate in the competition.
Multiple teams of the same college or university are also allowed.

- Criminal Law
- Ndps Act
- Along With Other Codified & Unmodified Laws Relevant to the Theme.

- Registration fee (for a team of 2): Rs. 1,000/-
- Accommodation fee (Per Person, for 3 Days): Rs. 1,900/-
Awards & Perks
- Best Team: Trophy and a cash prize of Rupees 11,000/-
- 1st Runners up: Trophy and a cash prize of Rupees 7,100/-
- Best Counsel: Trophy and a cash prize of Rupees 5,100/-
- All the participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
