Case filed against Facebook user for `derogatory’ comments about Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, other Cong leaders

Raipur, Sep 8 (PTI) Police here have registered a case against a Facebook user for posting a video containing `derogatory’ comments about Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other Congress leaders, an official said.

No arrest has been made so far, he added.

The video was posted by a Facebook ID in the name of `Vandana Rajput’, the police official said.

Based on a complaint by a National Student Union of India (NSUI) worker, a case was registered at Civil Lines police station against the user under Indian Penal Code sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 505(1)(b) (provoking offence against state).
