The order was passed on a complaint filed by Sameer Wankhede’s cousin, Sanjay Wankhede. He alleged that after the IRS Officer initiated action against Aryan Khan, Nawab Malik leveled false allegations against him in a press conference by stating that Wankhede was a Muslim by birth and obtained a forged caste certificate to secure employment.
According to him, the allegations were made because Wankhede had arrested Malik’s son-in-law. He claimed that because of the false allegations, he and his family members were defamed.
Further, he also alleged that the Wankhede family was intentionally being targeted by Malik since Wankhede is a Scheduled Caste Officer who arrested his son-in-law.
