Senior Advocate Trideep Pais informed Additional Sessions Judge at Karkardooma courts Amitabh Rawat that Khalid was willing to abide by any conditions imposed by the court, including having to provide his live location. He cited judgments where interim bail was granted in UAPA cases subject to certain conditions.
“Whatever may court impose. Live location…it’s his sister’s wedding. I have given the location. (In the case of) Ishrat Jahan, the court was pleased to give 10 days for her own wedding. Consider this application not as an adversarial application but treat it between accused and court,” he said.
Pais further suggested that the condition of not giving any media interviews, as imposed by the Supreme Court on Siddique Kappan while granting him interim bail, could be imposed on Khalid.
“Siddique Kappan granted interim bail by Supreme Court. A condition was put. Please see the condition put – that condition may be put on me. During his visit- he shall not give any media interviews. Not media public persons… Agreed I won’t. Only family and relatives,” he said.
