A bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Manoj Misra and Aravind Kumar said that certain issues as regards judges appointments were concerning.
The bench was hearing a petition related to the delay by the Central government in approving names for elevation proposed by the Collegium.
“I am also concerned with some issues,” said Justice Kaul.
“This cannot go on endlessly. Some appointments are selectively notified..same with transfer,” said advocate Prashant Bhushan appearing for the petitioner
“We are equally worried if not more,” Justice Kaul underlined.
The counsel for the Central government sought adjournment citing unavailability of the Attorney General.
The Court then posted the case for consideration in the second week of March.
