About DAKSHA

DAKSH is a civil society organisation undertaking research and activities to promote accountability and better governance in India. It was founded in 2008 by people from diverse backgrounds, including academicians, entrepreneurs, lawyers, teachers, social and political activists, and ordinary citizens.

About the Lecture

This lecture will analyse the use of technology in Indian courts and its impact on the efficiency of courts and access to justice. Justice Muralidhar will describe the history of the use of technology in courts, his experience with technological reforms in the Orissa High Court, the human side of technological transformation and the impact on litigants and transparency of the judiciary as an institution.
