On August 23 last year, Justice Venkatesh had initiated suo motu revision proceedings against orders of several special courts in the State discharging Tamil Nadu ministers, including KKSSR in cases of disproportionate assets.
At the time, Justice Venkatesh had remarked that something very “rotten” seemed to be going on in the special courts and that he seemed to have “opened a can of worms” in having examined these orders and in initiating the suo motu revision proceedings.
