Post Poll violence: Calcutta High Court denies permission to Suvendu Adhikari to hold Dharna outside Raj Bhavan

On the contrary, the State through Advocate General Kishore Datta, pointed out that disallowing the BJP leader was an administrative decision of the Police.

The contention that since TMC was allowed, so BJP too should be allowed to protest outside Raj Bhavan was unacceptable, the State said.

Having heard both sides, the judge asked Adhikari and Police to look for an alternative site for the proposed protest.

The matter will be heard again on June 21.
