In an order passed on July 11, Thursday, judge Santhosh Gajanan Bhat granted anticipatory bail to Shetty, who is the BJP MLA from Mangaluru North.
The Court directed the Kavoor police of North Sub Division, Mangaluru city, to release him on bail in the event of his arrest on executing a personal bond for a sum of ₹ one lakh with one surety. It also directed Shetty to appear before the investigating officer whenever he is called and to cooperate with the probe authorities.
