Potato Masala Curry
This is one of the recipe which is normally served in weddings here. They have this dish along with all the other poriyal, avial, kuzhambu, rasam and sambar. It is really good with rice and chapati as well. Making it at home is not at all difficult, very easy and quick too.

Ingredients for Potato Masala Curry
- Potatoes – 2 large boiled, peeled and cubed
- Oil – 2 tblspn
- Fennel seeds / saunf / sombu – ½ tsp
- Cinnamon / Pattai – 1 small piece
- Bay leaf – 1
- Onions – 1 medium size sliced thinly
- Green chilli – 2 slit
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
- Tomatoes – 2 chopped finely
- Red Chilli Power – 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder / Malli Podi – 2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
To grind :
- Fresh Coconut – ½ cup grated
- Cashews – 10
- Fennel Seeds / Saunf / Sombu – 2 tsp
