Siddique had filed an RTI application seeking these details with the MHA in May 2017.
However, the same was rejected by the government stating that the information sought relates to the subject of unlawful associations which relates to security, sovereignty and integrity of India and disclosure of the sought information may prejudicially affect the sovereignty, integrity and security of the State.
He filed an appeal against the denial of information which was also rejected.
A second appeal was then filed before the Central Information Commission (CIM) which, too, was rejected.
Siddique then challenged the CIC order before the High Court.
