Helped me apply the techniques learned to my day-to-day work – Dr. Monalisa Salins, PGP AIML

I am into research, and I review dumps of medical data, which provide safety reviews and also provide analysis to our clients in the company. I am presently working as Associate Medical data and Safety director at IQVIA. Since we used to get data dump, I wanted to decrease the time taken for our review and provide safety trends to our clients and company before a Database lock (i.e., after all, data is verified, the study is locked and submitted to FDA). We were missing useful information about safety trends and reviews.

I came across the advertisements of Great learning and asked about it to our global data managers in the company, who encouraged me to go ahead and join the PGP-AIML Online course, as they thought it would be beneficial to the subjects/patients. I did not join for any job purpose or career growth but only to provide accurate safety data to our company since we were missing out on trends.

It has been a very tough journey for me as every single thing that they taught me was very new. And one week was not enough for me to grasp these concepts. The group that I was put in were people who already had fair ideas and knowledge about what the mentors were teaching them.

So I started making my notes to connect the dots, but it was difficult to balance both assignments and professional work as we started research work on Covid-19, and this was very crucial for us as there were timelines to meet every single day.

But through all this, I have managed to complete my quiz pending project assignments, and I am working on them currently so that I can submit the same.

Overall I am very happy that I joined this course as it has helped me apply the techniques that I have learned here to my day-to-day work.

We are also currently in the process of building a tool for our medical review using AI and ML to automate our processes. This would be a turning point for our medical data review and safety team, and I am eagerly waiting as I feel that this is the solution that we have been waiting for, for a long time.

I recommend this course for everyone who deals with data and has a passion for reviewing data, as I feel that this course touches on the key aspects of automating data for data analysis and review.
