Ingredients for Coconut Tamarind Chutney

  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Dry Red Chilli – 2 to 4
  • Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu – 3 tblspn
  • Coconut – 1 cup grated
  • Tamarind – 1 small piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

How to make Coconut Tamarind Chutney

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add in chilli and urad dal and cook till golden.
  2. Add in coconut, tamarind and toss well for 2 mins,.
  3. Now take this in a blender, add salt to taste. Add little water at a time and puree till smooth.
  4. Serve with idli or dosa.
