Arvind Kejriwal moves Delhi High Court for bail in CBI case

Interestingly, Kejriwal has moved the High Court directly for bail. Lawyers say that there is no bar in going directly to High Court for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

The Delhi Chief Minister’s plea challenging his arrest by the CBI and the trial court order remanding him to agency’s custody is also pending before the High Court.
