The Court passed the order while hearing a bail application of the accused in a rape case dating back to March 2022.
The accused, who was arrested in October 2022, had approached the High Court for bail in December 2022.
Considering the period of incarceration undergone by the accused and that the FIR was delayed by six months, the Court granted bail to the accused.
It also took into account the fact the charge sheet has been filed in the case, while granting relief to the accused.
