Call for Chapters for the Edited Book Titled Health and Medical Law in India: Submit by Sept 30

Call for Chapters are invited for the Edited Book Titled Health and Medical Law in India for the year 2024. The last date of submission is September 30.

About the Book

Health and Medical law of a country includes the law of public health, healthcare, and medical care and ancillary activities. Health and Medical law involves a complex network of regulations governing public health, medical care, professional ethics and accountability, consent of patient, reproductive health, mental health, patient privacy, health insurance, business associations for hospitals, physician networks, and use of technological innovations in health sector and IPR and healthcare.

Health and Medical law also includes the regulations on food, drugs, cosmetics and device regulation, which concerns the duties and powers of government as well as the bodies created to protect the public health.

The primary responsibility for protection of the public health rests with the states, therefore the laws and regulations concerning public health matters are critical in determining the appropriateness and effectiveness of the governmental public health infrastructure. In India, various Acts have been passed at the Centre and state level related to health and medical care and activities, and several regulations, guidelines; rules have been issued by the public authorities related to health which have made great impact on the health status of the country and in defining or determining the other related aspects and concerns.

There may be critical points as well as inconsistencies and flaws in these regulations which need attention and reforms. So, we invite the legal practitioners, medical practitioners, professors, and scholars to contribute their viewpoints and analyze the issues and laws concerning Health and Medical care and allied activities in India, so as to promote awareness and bring into light the critical issues within the legal domain as well as to enrich the content related to the subject.

The main aim of the intended book is to explain certain basic principles and regulatory fundamentals of health and medical law. The focus of this book is to throw light on major legal issues relating to healthcare and medical practice India.

Author Guidelines

  • Original, scholarly and unpublished chapters in English Language are invited from academicians, professionals and research scholars.
  • The manuscript should be around 3500-6000 words with an abstract of not more than 200 words (the word limit is not fixed, and may be relaxed according to the content)
  • The main text should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 and line spacing 1.5.
  • Footnotes should be as per ILI rules, Times New Roman, font size 10 and line spacing 1. (https://www.ili.ac.in/footnoting12.pdf)
  • Article must be the original work and plagiarism free. Before acceptance of the chapter, plagiarism will be checked by the editors through the software Turnitin.
  • Acceptance of the paper will be intimated within five days of submission and acceptance or rejection of the paper is completely at the discretion of the editors.

There will be the following three contents in one-word document:

  • Author’s short Bio data
  • Self-Declaration letter stating that the chapter/research paper is original work and has not been published anywhere or has not been sent for publication anywhere else.
  • Chapter/Research paper with title and abstract.
  • No publication charges
  • The proposed book will be published by a reputed publisher with ISBN as a hard-bound copy.

Please note that the deadline for submission of complete chapter is 30th September, 2024.
