About
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing industries, economies, and legal frameworks worldwide. As AI technologies advance, they challenge traditional Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) by disrupting long standing legal principles and introducing new complexities. AI’s ability to generate creative works, invent technologies, and optimize processes raises critical questions about authorship, inventorship, and ownership, posing significant challenges to the current IPR framework.
The intersection of AI and IPR necessitates urgent attention from scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. Existing laws are being tested as AI-generated inventions and creations do not neatly fit within traditional IP categories. Issues such as the patentability of AI-generated inventions, ownership rights over AI-created content, and the role of AI in enforcing trademarks and protecting trade secrets are becoming increasingly complex.
Furthermore, the global nature of AI technology necessitates harmonization of national laws with international treaties and agreements, highlighting the crucial role of organizations like the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). This edited volume, “Intersection of Intellectual Property Rights and Artificial Intelligence,” seeks to provide a comprehensive analysis of these emerging challenges.
By bringing together contributions from experts across disciplines and jurisdictions, this book aims to explore how AI is reshaping the IPR landscape, offering insights into potential legal reforms, ethical considerations, and the global dimension of these issues.

Submission Guidelines
- Abstract Submission: Prospective authors are requested to submit an abstract of 350 words outlining the chapter’s focus, research question(s), methodology, and expected contribution to the book.
- Author bio: A brief author bio (100 words) and a Self-Declaration letter stating that the chapter is original work and has not been published anywhere or has not been sent for publication anywhere else.
- Full Chapter Submission: Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors will be invited to submit a full chapter of 7,000 to 9,000 words, including footnotes and references. Chapters must be original, unpublished works, and should adhere to the book’s theme.
- Formatting: Submissions should be in Word format, the main text should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 and line spacing 1.5.
- Footnotes should be as per APA style, Times New Roman, font size 10 and line spacing 1.
