Central government notifies appointment of 5 additional judges to Karnataka High Court

A notification to this effect was published on the website of Department of Law and Justice on Friday i.e., August 12.

“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Anil Bheemsen Katti, to be an Additional Judge of Karnataka High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office till 16.04.2024 and, (ii) Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja, (iii) Chandrashekhar Mrutyunjaya Joshi, (iv) Umesh Manjunathbhat Adiga, and (v) Talkad Girigowda Shivashankare Gowda as Additional Judges of Kamataka High Court, for a period of two years, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”

Their names were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium in July 19, 2022.
