Justice Goud will take over charge as the acting Chief Justice High Court with effect from February 23, 2023 on the retirement of incumbent Chief Justice Jaswant Singh.
“In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint, Shri Justice Todupunuri Amarnath Goud (PHC: Telangana), senior most puisne Judge of Tripura High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from 23.02.2023 consequent upon the retirement of Shri Jaswant Singh, Chief Justice of Tripura High Court,” the notification issued by the Union Law Ministry said.
