City Group of Colleges, Lucknow is organising International Conference on Social, Legal & Constitutional Frame Work Related to Women on December 2, 2023.

About the Group

City Group of colleges were established in the year 2005, has been accredited by NAAC, recognized by UGC as well as BCI. This Conference will take place in the main campus located in Chinhat, Lucknow. The centre of research has always being looking for in multi dimensional ways to contribute in the development of young minds and push them towards excellence.

About the Conference

The center for research is organizing a one day conference related to women-centric laws and legislative framework which includes social, legal, international and regional paradigms. The conference on “Social, Legal and Constitutional frame work related to women: An international & regional Perspective” will be held on December 2 nd at City Law Academy at Chinhat branch.

The Primary objective is to engage the Legal Fraternity, Academicians, Advocates, and Students from multi-disciplinary stream and Research scholars to contribute their intellect, statistical data, and understanding in order to reflect and reach to inferences which will be pivotal amongst Academicians, Advocates and Research scholars who are actively participating in legal system.

  • Constitutional mandates in safeguarding women through positive discrimination.
  • The Gender Diversity: From Legal lens.
  • Role of Women Commission in addressing Woman’s Rights
  • Supreme Court Verdicts and precedents related to inheritance and property rights of Women.
  • International and Regional framework related to women.
  • Institution of marriage and inter-related issues aligned with express provisions like Dowry Act, Hindu Marriage Act, Commission of Sati(Prevention) Act, Domestic Violence Act.
  • Conflict of laws: Adoption and international marriages.
  • Surrogacy and the paradigm shift of human rights.
  • Similarity and differences in human rights and women rights.
  • Mental Health Act, 2017 with contemporary mental crisis in women at workplace and household environment.
  • Criminal Amendment, 2013 along with penal law provisions.
  • Role of women in freedom struggle across the world.
  • Technology women and A.I.: From historical perspective to contemporary scenario.
  • Any other related topic which is indicative of the theme of the Conference is also invited.

Call for Papers

Research papers and discussions are invited from academicians, practitioners, research scholars and students on the issues related to the theme of the Conference. The authors of selected abstracts will be given an opportunity to present their papers during various sessions on the day of the event.

The Conference shall take place in hybrid mode, scholars and authors who cannot be physically present, can enroll themselves in the hybrid mode whereas others might join in the mentioned venue at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Submission & Formatting Guidelines

  • The abstract should not contain more than 200-350 words along with the particulars of the author indicating his/her email-id, contact number and addresses for correspondence.
  • A paper cannot have more than 2 co-authors.
  • The maximum limit of the paper is 5000 words (excluding footnotes).
  • The format shall be: Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 line- spacing, on a A4 sheet with 1 inch margin for all sides, to be sent in Doc./Docx. format.
  • A uniform style of citation must be strictly adhered to while submission process.
  • Bluebook 21st edition should be followed for the submissions.

Important dates

  • The last date for submitting the abstract shall be November 20th, 2023 and the eligible authors will be communicated after the selection of their individual abstracts.
  • The last date for submitting the manuscript shall be November 28th, 2023.

  • Faculty Member, Academicians and Professionals -1500/-
  • Research Scholars -1000/-
  • Students – 800/-
  • Participants who will be joining in the hybrid mode are mandated for a payment of 2000/-
