The Serious and Organised Crime Conference 2024 offers a unique platform for scholars, practitioners, and researchers to converge, exchange ideas, and explore the latest developments and trends in the field.

The virtual conference aims to provide a platform for academics, practitioners and researchers to come together to present, discuss and learn about the latest ideas, developments and trends in serious and organised crime.

Themes

The Serious and Organised Crime Conference 2024 serves as a critical platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration aimed at comprehensively addressing the multifaceted nature of serious and organised crime. In continuation of our commitment to fostering innovation and knowledge exchange, this year’s conference endeavours to explore a broad spectrum of issues, inviting contributions from diverse fields of expertise.

Under the overarching theme of “Understanding and Responding to Contemporary Challenges in Serious and Organised Crime: Societal Concerns and Enforcement Considerations,” the conference seeks to address the complexities involved in various dimensions of criminal activities while facilitating the development of effective strategies for understanding, prevention, intervention, and mitigation.

Submission Guidelines

We invite abstracts of no more than 200 words of the research they wish to present at this virtual conference. The abstract should clearly relate to research on serious and organised crime or connected fields.

Submissions should include:

  • Name of presenter and affiliation details
  • Current position
  • Email address

Please ensure your submission is concise and reflects the contents of the paper you wish to present. We welcome submissions from disciplines, including but not limited to criminology, sociology, political science, economics, computer science and law.

Important dates

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by the 22nd  April 2024. Key Dates  

  • Monday 15th  April 2024: Submissions Close
  • Monday 22nd  April 2024: Notification of Decision
  • Saturday, 18th  May 2024: Virtual Conference
