Justice Kait was born in 1963 in Haryana. He graduated in humanity from University College, Kurukshetra and thereafter did his Post Graduation in Political Science from Kurukshetra University. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Campus Law Centre, Delhi.
Justice Kait served as a Standing Counsel for the Central Government from 2004 onwards, till his elevation to the Bench in 2008 as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court.
He was a appointed as a permanent judge of the Delhi High Court in 2013, prior to his 2016 transfer to the Telangana High Court. In 2019, he was transferred back to Delhi High Court.
