CJ Kumar then asked where the lawyers got the information about the transfer, when he was told by the lawyers that they saw it on Bar & Bench.
The Senior Advocate underlined that normally, the Chief Justice of the High Court is consulted before transferring a judge.
As CJ Kumar began to address the lawyers, live streaming of the court was paused and resumed only after the lawyers started exiting the court hall.
As per Senior Advocate Asim Pandya, Chief Justice Kumar will meet members of the bar at 1:45 pm today after which the Gujarat High Court Advocates’ Association (GHCAA) will chalk out its plan.
Initially, the GHCAA planned to pass a resolution opposing the transfer at 2 pm today.
