About the FDP

Legal education is undergoing significant transformation due to advancements in technology, changing student demographics, and evolving pedagogical approaches. To ensure that law students are adequately prepared for the intricacies of contemporary legal practice, legal educators must constantly improve their teaching strategies and make use of cutting-edge resources.

The Faculty Development Program on ‘Pedagogy of Law: Techniques, Technology, and Narratives’ offers a unique opportunity for legal educators to enhance their teaching effectiveness and adapt to the evolving landscape of legal education. By exploring innovative pedagogical approaches, leveraging technology tools, and harnessing the power of narratives, participants will be better equipped to prepare the next generation of legal professionals.

Recognising the dynamic nature of legal pedagogy in the digital age, this program seeks to empower faculty members to adapt and innovate in their teaching practices, ultimately enriching the learning experience for law students. The FDP will be conducted over a period of five days comprising a series of interactive workshops, seminars, hands-on activities, and peer learning sessions.

The program will focus on the innovative pedagogical techniques and role of narratives in the following areas:

  • Evolving Nature of Criminology and Victimology
  • Emerging Contours of Constitutional Law
  • New Labour Code for New India
  • Innovative Approach towards Legal Theories
  • Navigating the Nuances of Intellectual Property Rights
  • Evolving Trends of Environmental Law
  • Legal Education, Innovation & Incubation

Outcomes

Upon completion of the FDP, the Faculty Members will –

  • Gain a deeper understanding of innovative pedagogical techniques, including experiential learning, case studies, simulations, and interactive methodologies applicable to legal education.
  • Acquire practical skills and resources relevant to legal education, such as online platforms, AI-powered tools and digital research databases.
  • Establish the role of narratives in legal education and develop strategies for integrating storytelling techniques into teaching practices.
  • Develop a platform to share best practices, exchange ideas, and collaborate on innovative approaches to legal pedagogy.

Faculty members, Research Assistants, and Researcher Scholars from Universities and Colleges in India.
