How did you Apply?

I applied by myself by sending my resume and cover letter.

First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression

Like most of our friends warned us, we were nervous about the internship, as they said it would be challenging. The official internship hours are from 11 AM to 6:30 PM, but on the first day, my friend Prateek Saxena and I arrived at the office at 1 PM. The office, located in the basement, has good infrastructure with a conference room, a triangular-shaped room, a long passage, a bathroom, a kitchen, and three cabins.

Upon arrival, we met the receptionist, Mr. Ram, who was very polite and asked us to wait for Mr. Jaspreet. On our first day, we were assisted by his junior, Adv. Ravi, who gave us a case file to read. Adv. Ravi has three more juniors and two partners working with him. Since we forgot to bring our laptops, they didn’t have any work for us that day, so we left at 5:30 PM.

Despite this, it was a wonderful experience. Mr. Jaspreet, along with his juniors, was very polite. We were extremely happy and satisfied with our first day and would highly recommend this wonderful journey to everyone.

Main Tasks

  1. Reading Case Files and Making Notes
  2. Conducting Research Work
  3. Translating Audio into Transcripts
  4. Attending Court Hearings at various district courts, including Saket Court, Tis Hazari, and Patiala House Court.
  5. Visiting Labour Court in Kalkaji
  6. Making Notes on Various Documents for his juniors, such as sales deeds, wills, etc.

Work Environment

My friend and I worked in a triangular-shaped room, where we completed our tasks without any pressure. The environment was relaxed and stress-free. Mr. Jaspreet and his juniors were always available to clear up any doubts we had.

They were very approachable and friendly. We can confidently say that this has been the best internship experience for us. Contrary to what we heard from others about their internships being exhausting and sometimes humiliating, our experience has been completely positive. They also engaged with us by asking questions to ensure we understood what we had read in the case files.

Good Things about the Internship

  • They are frank with us, and we also chilled with his juniors.
  • They didn’t put any stress on us.
  • If we felt tired, we were free to go for a walk and then come back.
  • If we happened to be late, they just told us to come on time next time but never scolded or humiliated us.

Bad Things about the Internship

Although we did not find much to complain about, one downside is that you have to ask for work yourself. The juniors won’t assign tasks to you on their own since they have a lot of work to handle.

Monthly Stipend

No stipend

Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office

We went to his office by bike or e-scooty, but if you want to reach there by metro, the nearest metro stations are:

  1. Moolchand Metro Station
  2. Kailash Colony Metro Station

From either station, you will need to take an auto or e-rickshaw to his office.

Anything Else You Want to Share?

If we felt tired, we were free to go for a walk in the park opposite his office and then come back.. In our free time, my friend and I used to chill with his juniors and the clerk.. They also gave us valuable advice; for example, they advised me on modulating the tone of my voice.
