How Did You Apply?
My university sent my recommendation to be an intern there.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
I was very excited to start my first internship in a consumer forum, so on the first day I met an advocate under whom I was aiming to do my internship, he asked about my introduction then he asked me to read some files about the related cases. infrastructure was good.
Main Tasks
To observe the procedure of resolving the dispute between the parties. Like analysing every stage from initial to final, and observing how the dispute is settled if not then legal proceedings start. Read the case files for a better understanding of the facts.
Work Environment
The work environment was very cooperative. Every member gave their best in order to make the parties present and came to one common point through mediation first if the parties didn’t co-operate then the cases were sent for legal proceedings.
Good Things
They were very helpful being a first-year law student they didn’t make me realise that I don’t have sufficient knowledge of law as they cleared my doubts at every stage of the resolution of disputes. They were trying their best to make the parties satisfied at the mediation stage itself.
Bad Things
There was lots of mismanagement in the room, the case files were not kept properly, and due to lots of chaos, it was a bit tough to understand the procedure properly. They were a little bit lethargic in performing their work and some of them were not behaving properly with the parties which shows disrespect for their profession.
Stipend
No stipend.
