How did you apply?

I applied by calling 0731-2760083 their office telephone.

First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

On the very first day, I had the opportunity of liaising with Adv. Vikram Dubey, graciously provided a comprehensive orientation about our duties, responsibilities and the intricate workings of the office. This was followed by immersion in courtroom proceedings, where I had the privilege to observe various hearings. Any queries I had were addressed with utmost clarity and humbleness.

The office depicted an array of necessary resources and top-tier infrastructure, comprising spacious accommodation, a dedicated workplace complimented with a desktop computer, and an extensive collection of law books, all designed to foster a well-rounded learning environment. My initial impression of the office was highly favourable, and the seniors present were utmost welcoming, affable, and approachable.

Main Tasks

  • Scrutinizing case documents and conducting in-depth analyses by pertinent legal provisions to enhance comprehension of legal processes.
  • Participating in court sessions, compiling concise summaries, and grasping intricate procedural intricacies.
  • Providing support and assistance in cases scheduled for presentation before the Honourable courts.
  • Reading Case files, majorly of criminal law and family law issues.

Work Environment

The working environment was immensely enriching, complimented by a strong sense of support and mentorship. Sunaina Ma’am, Smriti Ma’am, and Valmiki Sir consistently extended their guidance, assisting me in sailing through tasks and addressing even the most trivial of uncertainties. Their consistent efforts made me feel enlightened and grateful.

Good Things

  • Adv. Sunaina Ma’am encompasses a diverse range of different cases, across various District Courts and the High Court encompassing both criminal and family matters. This unique exposure ensures that interns gain invaluable experience in all domains, a rare opportunity indeed.
  • The work culture was in a manner to manage an equilibrium between the learnings at the workplace and the intricacies involved in the courtroom along with maintaining a sense of accountability.
  • Within the office, the proficient Advocates presented a compelling narrative of their professional journeys, serving as a wellspring of motivation for me to aspire to expand my knowledge and foster personal growth.
  • Furthermore, Adv. Smriti thoughtfully imparted knowledge by delving into various provisions of the constitutional law that had previously eluded my understanding.

Bad Things

As I observed the work environment, mentoring guidance and the workforce as a team we were professionally and morally the best an intern can get. The only thing was that their schedules weren’t conveyed on some common platform for all so I had to transport from one court to another hastily. But in my opinion, that was due to the uncertainty of timing in various courts so wasn’t a full-fledged fault on their part but still a tentative schedule can be uploaded for all.

Stipend

An internship certificate with a handful of worthy learning was provided.
