About Central Board of Direct Taxes
The Central Board of Direct Taxes is a statutory authority functioning under the Central Board of Revenue Act, of 1963. The officials of the Board in their ex-officio capacity also function as a Division of the Ministry dealing with matters relating to levy and collection of direct taxes.
About the Opportunity
The Scope of Work of the Legal Consultant will include, but shall not be limited to, providing assistance to the Directorate:
- Assistance in carrying out research and processing of legal matters,
- Research and analysis of legal databases,
- Any other matter assigned by the Directorate.
Period of Engagement
One year on a full-time basis which can be extended by a further period of one year subject to the satisfactory performance of the Legal Consultant.

Eligibility
- Law Graduates with a minimum of 3 years experience (Preference will be given to post-graduates and work experience in direct taxes).
- Knowledge and experience in carrying out research and analysis on legal databases (Preference will be given to candidates who have published research.
- The applicant should have a good working knowledge of the English language including drafting skills in English.
- The applicant should have a fair knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel PowerPoint, etc.

Salary
Rs. 80,000 per month (lump sum).
