Good things about the University based on your personal experience

Its proximity to Delhi gives it advantageous position. Students have many opportunities to go and attend various workshops and seminars. Infrastructure of our college is very impressive and at par with some private universities. Environment and weather are pleasant.

We have Ashoka University, World University of Designs and IIT Delhi (extension campus)near us. We attend various national workshops in IIT Delhi. In our college we have laundry service, which wash cloths on very reasonable price if you have take subscription of the same.

Our seniors and teachers are very helpful, they guide us at every step and always stand for us. Here you have ample amount of time to participate in other activities like online internships, any online course if you have taken, you can prepare of other exams also like CLAT PG, judicial services, civil services.

Bad things about the University based on your personal experience

Our administration of college is very slow, it takes time to process applications submitted by students and many other demands are in process from very long time but they give some statements and put things in back burner, we do not have a gym which was demanded early and fund was sanctioned for the same.

If you want to go outside out from the college so there is very time taking process , first you have to take gate pass and get it signed by chief warden and then do entry on gate , sometimes it is hard to find warden.

The timings for outing are very unreasonable as on working days we can go from 5 PM and reporting time is 8 PM. There is lot of network issue in the campus, only selective networks work properly.

How’s the faculty?

If I talk about teachers so first thing is we do not have fully permanent faculty, although vacancies for the same are out.

Teachers who teach subjects of BA are not so good .Law professors are good in teaching but not all. I agree that all are qualified and competent but teaching demands other things also.

How’s the infrastructure? Mention some of the things that exist.

In terms of infrastructure , our college is best. We have a library named Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam library with 3 reading rooms. There is an administration building and an academic building on the name of Dr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan, with AC classrooms and moot court hall on the top floor.

As of now we have only two smart classes. We have a vast ground for playing and indoor game like table tennis is played inside the hostels common rooms. Our mess is attached to the hostel, it is in good condition and offers delicious food.

How’s your hostel experience?

My hostel experience in DBRANLU is pretty much nice, infrastructure and sanitation are good, other than that we have lift service in our hostel which give relief when you are living on 8th floor. Seniors live in the same hostel but on different floors.

All corridors are covered with CCTVs so that your safety is ensured, and finally hostelers make hostels and hostelers in DBRANLU are awesome.

How are your peers?

Peers are very helpful and amiable. It is a well known fact that if you are in hostel so your peer group is everything for you. They are very supportive and cooperative.

We help each other in study and other situations if those situations demands.

How are the placements in your college?

As first batch of our college in the 4th year and will be passing in 2024 so I can not comment on the placement situation but our placement cell is very active, it gives many opportunities to do internships under big lawyers, judges and solicitor generals. We have ample and in good quality internships at our disposal.

How are the co-curricular activities in your college?

Our college is nice when it comes to co- curriculars, we are very active in NSS ( National Service Schemes) and there are many activities, debates, competition, literary and cultural events which are conducted throughout the year.

There is one “CHAI PAR KANOONI CHARCHA”, which is weekly discussion program on the current topics of legal importance and other important topics.

We frequently conduct quizzes and speech competition. Our all committees and societies work in tandem to make sure that every event become remarkable.

What are some of the things you’d advise a 1st-year aspirant who enters your college?

If you have in mind to join corporate law so try other institutions because as of now, no corporate culture is there. University is new and 1st batch will be passing out in 2024, so things will take time.

You are welcome if you want to prepare for judicial services, civil services or other government services.
