About the Program
Chicago-Kent and Marwadi University will provide a unique opportunity for law students and practicing lawyers from India to gain an introduction to the United States and international legal systems.
Chicago-Kent and Marwadi University are going to establish a special Overseas Training Program under which participants can attend classes taught by Chicago-Kent faculty and subsequently enrol in Chicago-Kent’s LL.M. degree programs (collectively, “LL.M. Programs”).
This will be approximately a two-week offline program with classes running for 3-4 hours every day during this duration.
We are excited to announce that our upcoming program is now open for registration. However, please note that we have limited seats available for each program, with a maximum of 30 participants.
To ensure that all participants receive personalised attention and have the opportunity to engage with the program fully, we have set a maximum limit of 30 participants per program. We believe this will allow for a more intimate and productive learning experience for everyone involved.
We encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot in the program. Once the maximum capacity has been reached, registration will be closed.
Eligibility
Eligibility for Overseas Training Program: Anyone who is a law student in good standing of any university recognised by the BCI (LL.B., LL.M., or PhD), or a practising lawyer in India is eligible to attend the Overseas Training Program courses, and all participants who successfully complete the courses will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Overseas Training Program.
How to Register?
- The registration shall be done by filling up the registration form available towards the end of this post.
- The registration shall be considered complete only when the ‘Registration Fee’ has been paid successfully and the registration form is duly filled with all the credentials.
Registration Fee
- The registration fee for the program is Rs. 8500 per course.
- For both courses, the registration fee will be Rs. 16,000/- (A discount of Rs. 1000 included).
- The registration fee, once paid, is non-refundable.
Important Dates
- Last date of Registration for 1st Course: March 31, 2023
- Last date of Registration for 2nd Course: April 15, 2023
- 1st Course (3 to 14 April 2023): Introduction to the American Legal System.
- 2nd Course (17 to 28 April 2023): International Criminal Law & Human Rights.
