The High Court, while allowing the plea, noted that the matter had been listed only for the purpose of hearing an interlocutory application, and there was no challenge to the interim protection from arrest.
The interim protection had been extended from time to time, and thus there was no reason for the same to be vacated by the single-judge, the Court held.
