The Court then proceeded to grant interim bail to the accused, and sought the response of the Bihar government in the matter by September 2.
The Bench was hearing an appeal against an April 19 Patna High Court order passed by Justice Dr. Anshuman.
The order under challenge had stated:
“Let the petitioner Jitendra Paswan … be released on bail, but after six month from today, on furnishing bail bonds of ₹30,000 with two sureties of the like amount each.”
Aggrieved, the accused moved the top court.
