A Bench of Justices Surya Kant and KV Viswanathan of the Supreme Court today ordered the formation of the committee to head the liquidation efforts of property of the Sai Prasad Group of Companies.
Justice Bhat will serve as chairperson of the committee whose other members would include former apex court Registrar Pardeep Kumar Sharma, a nominee of the SEBI, the Maharashtra Deputy Home Secretary, and one revenue official each from the States of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
Justice Bhat will be entitled to a honourarium of ₹2 lakh per sitting, while Justice Chandra will get ₹1.5 lakh.
