For the internship with CLS, I applied through email.

I joined…

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

As it was a virtual Internship, I received my task through the Email, it was a official mode of communication. The submission are also through email only.

Main tasks

The tasks are not limited to one specific area. My tasks are diversified, sometime it related to Tax law, sometimes contract laws, criminal law etc.

They basically gives me a kind of issue concerning to any of the above mentioned area. Then, I have to find the relevant case laws as per concerned issue.

And finally, after preparing a synopsis of that issue, I have to send…Tasks needs to be submit in specified deadline.

Work environment

As it was online, I can’t tell much about the work environment, but in online I never felt as over burden work.

Good things

Following are the good thing as per my experience;

  • Supportive – The firm is very support to the Interns, wherever, I asked for any problem, they helped me in every situation.
  • Learning – As the work is not limited to specific area, so Intern get’s opportunity to learn about different area and enhance their qualities.
  • Feedback – This is the most amazing thing that, I found here. Several law firm, never guide or give feedback about the work done by the Interns. But CLS always gives a detailed feedback for further improvements.

These are most precious qualities that I found. Apart from these also, their are other good things like, friendly talks, clarification etc.

Bad things

No, I don’t find any such thing. It’s a great learning platform for a law student.

Stipend (if any)

No, It not stipend based.

Details about accommodation and commute

I have done it virtually.

Anything else?

I have not done it physically, so I am not in position to comment on this question.

But, virtually, Overall, I was a great learning journey with CLS.
