Banda (UP), Jul 30 (PTI) A constable of the Kamasin police station in the Banda district was found hanging in his rented accommodation on saturday morning with police suspecting it to be a case of suicide.
Babaru area Circle Officer Satyaprakash Sharma said Raghavendra Pratap, a resident of Jhansi district, posted to the police station in June and he joined on July 28, after his leave.
He was found hanging in his rented house on Saturday morning. Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide, Sharma said.
The Superintendent of Police has inspected the spot and the matter is being investigated. Family members of the constable have been informed about the incident and a post-mortem will be conducted after they arrive, the circle officer said. PTI COR CDN NSD NSD
