3) England have hosted the event a record 5 times
England is known as the Home of Cricket and the place where the sport was invented. The first three World Cups were held in England along with the World Cups in 1999 and 2019. They made it a record of hosting the World Cup the most times with the commencement of the last World Cup in 2019.
