AgNext Onboards CTO To Scale Its AgTech Globally

At AgNext, Subrat will be focusing on structuring deeptech and aligning product lines for a global client base.

January 21, 2021: India’s leading agtech innovator AgNext, has announced the expansion of its leadership team by onboarding Dr. Subrat Panda as Chief Technology Officer. AgNext has innovated multiple technologies to digitise food, enabling physical, chemical & ambient quality analysis of food with Computer Vision, Molecular Sciences and IoT. With Subrat, the company aims to further build smarter & intelligent SAAS solutions on its platform and extend it to a global audience.

AgNext’s technology brings a digital solution stack for food assessments during transactions happening in the prevalent agriculture supply chains. These for ages, have been done subjectively in a non-transparent manner, leading to huge losses for buyers and sellers alike.

AgNext deploys its Qualix platform at all points where buyers and sellers transact in the supply chain, building trust & speed in every transaction by digitising quality assessments. The company has filed 12 patents around these solutions and with the new CTO coming in, AgNext targets more than 70 patents in the coming two years. Subrat also plans to bring an unique quality based trade platform under its new technological developments, to provide further value added SAAS solutions to agribusinesses world wide.

Prior to joining AgNext, Subrat worked with Capillary Technologies as the Head of Engineering, AI and Data Sciences. He is a B.Tech graduate in Computer Science from prestigious IIT Kharagpur and PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the same institution. Subrat brings immense experience in hardware, software and artificial intelligence alike, having worked with companies like Synopsys, IBM STG, Nvidia, and Taro across his professional career.

Subrat has also authored multiple patents owing to his deep understanding of technological solutions and research prowess. Subrat also brings immense experience in research, wherein he had been a research consultant on various industry-sponsored projects at IIT Kharagpur. He brings immense experience working with technology startups deploying solutions globally, while also being a technology advisor cum mentor to multiple startups and AI communities.

At AgNext, Subrat will be focusing on structuring deeptech and aligning product lines for a global client base. Building further value added SaaS solutions on its AI enabled platform, Qualix. Subrat plans to overhaul Quality based trade using valuable SaaS solutions at all transaction nodes within agribusiness value chains.
