Amazon India has recently announced the launch of ‘Mentor Connect Programme’, which is aimed at accelerating the growth story of emerging start-ups and upcoming brands, that fall directly under the “Amazon Launchpad initiative”. Through the program, the registered brands will gain access to guidance from industry veterans, venture capital firms, and leaders in Amazon through expert knowledge-sharing sessions, one-on-one mentorship sessions across a three-month period, as well as networking events. The aim is to help new players avoid blind spots, learn from veterans, and address the core challenges they are facing. It will also be an opportunity for Venture Capitalists to discover new initiatives.
Mentors from educational institutions and VC firms like Fireside Ventures, DSG Consumer Partners, Elevation Capital, and Tomorrow Capital have already signed up for the program This offers entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their startups to the industry’s leading subject matter experts while proactively engaging and learning, so as to help tackle strategic and functional challenges they may face.
The venture will also include winners of the Amazon Sambhav Summit, the second edition of which will be hosted from April 15 to18, 2021. The winners will be the first batch of start-ups to receive the benefits under the Amazon Mentor Connect Programme. Amazon Launchpad presently showcases well-over two lakh products, that are offered by over 800 brands across 30 unique product categories. Popular sectors catered to by these brands include beauty and grooming, grocery, health, and personal care, as well as home products.
