goSTOPS ramps up presence in Uttarakhand

With its enchanting views and adventurous destinations, Uttarakhand has emerged as a frontrunner in the traveler’s preference chart.

‘Heading to the hills’ has become the catchphrase among Millennial and GenZ travelers who are seeking experience-laden getaways from their mundane city lives. And when that is coupled with meeting interesting travelers from across the world, discussions that range a wide spectrum over cups of chai in the common areas, garnering experiences designed by locals, one has the perfect goSTOPS experience.

With its enchanting views and adventurous destinations, Uttarakhand has emerged as a frontrunner in the traveler’s preference chart. Following the trend, goSTOPS has expanded its footprint in the state with the addition of new goSTOPS stays at Rishikesh Lakshman Jhula, Mussoorie, Kasar Devi, and Mukteshwar. This is in addition to the one they are operating currently at Rishikesh Tapovan.

Rishikesh Lakshman Jhula is the 2nd goSTOPS property in Rishikesh comprising 30 vibrant and cozy rooms designed with state-of-the-art, classy interiors. Each room offers a spectacular view of the scenic city with the best in class hospitality available in budget-friendly options. The property encompasses vibrant corners for those looking to revitalise their spirit with fun games and activities. Travelers can also explore varied experiences from river rafting and bungee jumping to a calm spiritual getaway. A short walk from the holy Ganga, goSTOPS Rishikesh Lakshman Jhula offers the perfect setting to have a memorable getaway.

Mussoorie, rightfully regarded as the Queen of the Hills, is nestled amid the Shivalik Range and the Doon Valley. A ride through the clouds in a cable car ropeway to Gun hills or a serene afternoon by the Kempty Falls, the town has it all. The property has a beautiful mountain view, which is excellent for midnight bonfires. A home theatre and an indoor gaming area are also available. It offers a lovely sitting area with a beautiful view where you will be forced to strike up a chat with another traveller.

Easily accessible just like other goSTOPS locations, goSTOPS Mussoorie is a short walk away from the famous Mall Road that transports you back in time.

Kasar Devi, a sleepy little hamlet in the Kumaon region, is home to some spectacular views. Bird watching in Binsar’s wildlife sanctuary, a trek to Zero points to catch the enormity of the Himalayan range through a 360-degree view, and a visit to the local Bineshwar Mahadev temple are some of the things that travelers can look forward to in this little town. The property, with  50 beds, is located at an altitude of 2,420 meters and guarantees a magnificent view of the scenic beauty around. This goSTOPS property at Kasar Devi provides a picturesque atmosphere with a common place to meet many fellow travel lovers loaded with positive vibes and colourful personalities. It is the perfect getaway for city dwellers.

Mukteshwar is a short drive from Nainital. The town offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges, treks to the popular Chauli Ki Jali cliff, paragliding for the adventure junkies, and a darshan of the Mukteshwar Mandir for the religiously inclined. The landmark goSTOPS Mukteshwar property has the most comfiest and chic setting with 22 rooms situated on the main sargakhet road in Mukteshwar, presenting stellar views of the ranges that captivate your mind and eyes. A surreal mountain view greets travelers as they arrive at this property and with comfy beds and dorms, it is always bustling with individuals engaged in games and activities. The property is cradled amidst lush green Oak, Deodar & Pine trees’ filled forest with private balconies that promise a spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges and green valleys.

Speaking about the announcement, Pankaj Parwanda, Co-Founder, goSTOPS said, “Our Rishikesh Tapovan property has been a runaway success. The experience that the state proffers i.e. a mix of spirituality, calmness, and adventure, has been attracting massive interest among our core audiences; the Gen Zs and Millennials. The locations have been hand-picked to curate a range of local sights, sounds, and flavours for our travelers, and we are confident that we are now well-poised to curate a holistic Uttarakhand sojourn for our patrons.”

He continues, “The Government of Uttarakhand is making significant investments in making the state a serious contender on the global tourist map. Additionally, the demand recovery curve for the hospitality sector has become stronger after the second wave, and we have recorded a massive jump in demand. The intention of launching additional properties in Uttarakhand is to ensure that we utilize the newly infused funds from our investors in expanding supply and sprucing up our facilities to meet the evolving standards of our patrons, while providing budget-friendly social stays and experiential travels at every step of a traveler’s journey. We are also launching a property in Nainital, India’s popular hill station and resort town, in October. Like all other goSTOPS properties, this one too will have a mesmerizing interior setting, incredible view, assistance from our friendly and expert hosts along with all the essential amenities to aid travellers. Our goal is to expand the goSTOPS community by adding more thrilling properties in the coming months.”

Currently, goSTOPS has 24 properties across India, housing 1600 beds, and is set to launch a new hostel in Nainital in the first week of October 2021. India’s fastest-growing backpacker hostel chain has another 350 beds under development in destinations like Pushkar, Goa, Bangalore, and Dehradun. Besides, goSTOPS is contracting 3-4 additional hostels under its brand every month.
