The Barbeque Company To Invest INR 25 Cr In Next 3 Years

We are aiming to invest INR 20 to 25 crores in the coming 2-3 years which will be fully utilized for opening new outlets in Delhi- NCR and southern parts of India

Delhi-based The Barbeque Company is aiming for 25 outlets by 2024. Apart from expansion in the capital, the restaurant chain is looking for tier 2 cities expansion and moving towards South India.

“We are aiming to invest INR 20 to 25 crores in the coming 2-3 years which will be fully utilized for opening new outlets in Delhi- NCR and southern parts of India,” Harmandeep Khurana, Founder of The Barbeque Company.

Khurana started his career as a businessman in logistics in 2006. After a few years he realized that he wanted to do something different and in 2015 he founded the first outlet of Barbeque Company in Janakpuri, New Delhi back in 2015. Currently, he is running Barbeque outlets in Preet Vihar, Janakpuri, Noida, Gurgaon and Jaipur.

“Our every outlet since its inception from 2016-17 and 2018 we have opened one outlet in every year and each outlet takes about three to four months time to reach the breakeven,” Khurana added.

He further informed that buffets business has returned to the pre-Covid levels. “We are considering that it will go better in the market, as after covid people will look for pocket-friendly dining places,” he added. The restaurant company has managed to get the business back but in revenue, The Barbeque Company has suffered a downfall of 20 percent.

“Our recovery model is very straight to keep a stronghold on our cost and to make sure that there is no wastage. This will keep the cost regulated and we have also redefined the salary structure. We have to get down to incentives that the sale goes up, and staff will get the incentive. This is how we are getting back to the market and before the covid time we were serving different menus but now after covid, we are serving a lucrative menu so that the customer retention can be increased,” Khurana said.
