My Name is Akshay Kumar and I am working at Solix Technologies. I have 20years + of experience.

My learning and Capstone journey were extremely worth it. Our Capstone project topic was ā€“ Credit-lending in the bank using an AI model to predict the probability of default. We came up with this topic after various meetings within the team.

To summarize:

Step 1: We looked at the individual skill sets of all the project team members. The thought was to ensure that we leverage domain expertise. One of the team members has domain expertise in Banking & Financial Services. We looked at topics around the domain expertise.

Step 2: This involved the selection process ā€“ Evaluated all the suggestions from the team and looked at the potential of each topic

Step 3: Unanimously decided on the topic name.

As part of the Capstone Project, we leveraged Supervised Learning concepts ā€“ Logistic Regression and Performance measures such as Accuracy, Precision & Recall to predict the risk of loan default. The best part was the application of the concepts in a real-time project scenario.

The overall capstone provided a great insight into what it will take to create a winning proposition. The whole process of idea generation, market analysis, AI/ML concept applications, SWOT analysis, Team Building, Product Development, Go-To-Market strategies has been an excellent journey.

As a leader, itā€™s very important to understand the value and benefit of each of these stages in the overall product lifecycle management for a successful enterprise.

This whole experience of capstone provided insights into evaluating AIML opportunities and use cases with tremendous potential benefiting business and society in general.

Additional Comments:

The overall learning and Capstone journey were enriching. On the whole, it was a memorable journey. What was important as part of the capstone was building a sense of ownership with every member of the team.

We, as a team, worked out a strategy of sharing respective components of the project based on skill sets and expertise in completing the overall project. We had encouraged critical views to further enhance the project deliverability.

We had our challenges with some of the team not always available due to work/personal commitments, but that helped in bringing the team spirit in play, to support each other, and marching ahead together. The best part was we all wanted to finish the project on time and showed great commitment to get it delivered in time. And we were successful.

AIFL Program has been a very exciting journey. It helped me realize we can always have time to do more things in life if we are passionate about them.

The overall program format is great, but itā€™s a bit challenging to stick to deliverables on-time ā€“ more importantly, as everyone has prior professional and personal commitments. It was important to stay ahead of the curve stick to deadlines to complete the course on time.

The recording sessions for each course were great to set a self-paced learning flow. I did feel it would have been great if there were a couple more live interactive sessions with Dr. Sarkar & Dr. Kumar. The live sessions with Jatinder were simply superb. It looked like all the time in the world to clear our doubts and queries. His energy is fabulous.

The project support team had been very helpful in clearing doubts on time. I felt the support request raised were addressed in a timely and effective manner. Very good experience as we went through our project deliverables.

The industry sessions were also very helpful to get us live insights provided a great learning experience to steer us forward.

Anwesh & Dr. Narayana helped with key aspects of the capstone. Timely direction to ensure we were always on track to deliver a successful project. We had two sessions with them to ensure our project completeness. But we always had access to them through Whatsapp, which was good to get some immediate direction whenever we got stuck.

Priya was fabulous in keeping the whole program energy going. Especially with this program being so time-sensitive, her support and guidance to ensure a smooth flow were very helpful. Whenever I got stuck on anything, she was quick to respond and get it resolved asap.

As is, I havenā€™t applied the concept at my workplace; however, it is In the process of doing so. I am working on improving the efficiency of our marketing campaigns to generate more revenue opportunities. There are also other use cases identified to apply the learned concepts.

Lastly, A big shout-out to each and everyone ā€“ ā€œThank you very much ā€“ All of you had made this journey a lifetime memory. A great learning experience.ā€

Dr. Kumar & Dr. Sarkar ā€“ Itā€™s a pleasure learning from you, complex concepts explained so well with simplicity. Thank you very much.

Jatin ā€“ Kudos to your energy and helpfulness to clear our doubts anytime, no matter how long it took to make us comfortable with the understanding.

Karthik Sankaran & Karthik Raghunathan, thank you very much for the sessions on business value and team building.

Anwesh & Dr. Narayana ā€“ Thank you for being there throughout the capstone project and a guiding force to see us all sail through.

Support Team: Thank you for the timely help. You are the unsung heroes.

Program Office ā€“ Priya Bohra ā€“ Well, you deserve big applause ā€“ Superb support on all aspects of the project. Thank you very much.

A big thank you to all the other team members who are making us excel in our learning.
