Neeragaram Recipe
This is in fact not a recipe at all. This is the most common way when we enjoy our leftover rice on hot summer days. Right now it is raining her but few weeks back summer was at its peak here. At those time hubby demanded me to make this for his breakfast daily. So what i do it i take a big spoonful of rice and put it in the pot, cover with water and leave it overnight. Next day i just add salt and curd..This is such a cooling dish, you can almost instantly feel the soothing effect of it.

Ingredients for Neragaram
- Leftover cooked Rice – 1 cup
- Water – 2 cup or more
- Salt to taste
- Yogurt / Curd – ½ cup
- Sambar Onion / Shallots – as needed peeled
- Green chillies optional
How to make Neeragaram
- Take a earthernware pot and add rice to it, cover with water and cover the pot and set aside overnight.,
- Now next day, add more water, curd and salt. Mix well.
- Add in some sliced shallots and chillies to this and serve cold.

1)Take tamarind in a bowl.
2)Add water and soak it for 10 mins. Squeeze and remove all the pulp.
3)Strain it
4)Take the tamarind pulp in a bowl
5)Add salt
6)Add chopped sambar onions
7)Take some red chillies
8)Toast till it is charred
9)Take it in a chopping board and crush it
10) This adds so much flavour
11)Add it in
12)Mix well
13)Add coconut oil
14)Mix well. Done.
15)I soaked cooked rice in some water overnight.
16)Next morning take it in a bowl.

20)Serve with tamarind mix
