1. NHRC Summer Internship Programme 2024

The National Human Rights Commission has expressly been mandated to promote Human Rights literacy and awareness vide Section 12 (h) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. With a view to spread awareness among University students about the need for protection and promotion of Human Rights, the Commission has been regularly conducting Internship Programmes’ since 1998.

For the year 2024, a four week “Summer Internship Programme (SIP) 2024” will commence from 10th June, 2024 (Monday) to 5th July, 2024 (Friday).

• Eligibility:
  • Students who have completed 1st year and are pursuing 2nd or 3rd year LLB (3 years) courses;
  • Students who have completed 3 years OR Semester VI of the 5 year course of BA/BA LLB etc. and pursuing 4th and 5th years;
  • Students pursuing L.L.M. Course;
  • Students pursuing PG Diploma in Human Rights, MA in Human Rights, PG students of Political Science, Sociology, Social Work (MSW), Criminology, Public Administration Rural Development, History, Economics, Commerce, Anthropology, Mass Communication, International Relations and any of the discipline of Social Sciences would be considered with preference to students pursuing their final year;
  • Only students of regular courses of UGC Recognized Universities will be eligible.
  • Students must have attained a minimum of 65% marks in Class XII and all subsequent years in attended degree programs.
  • The applicant should not be more than 28 years of age as on 01.05.2024.

2. Summer Internship Programme 2024 at Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi

Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, is introducing/commencing Summer Internship Programme to acquaint young law students with the working of Department of Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs Govt. of NCT of Delhi, by giving training in the field of research & referencing work, tendering of legal advice in various specialized fields of law such as Constitutional & Administrative Law, Labour Laws, Conveyancing, Arbitration & Contract Law /Legislative Process/ Subordinate Legislation etc.

• Eligiblity: Students who are pursuing studies:
  • in 2nd &3rd year of three-year Law Degree Course or
  • in 3rd to 5th year of five year Law Degree Course from any recognized College/Law school/ University.
• Application: Interested Students can fill the Online Application form (Google Form). The link for filing of the online application form for Summer Internship Programme-2024, is available on the official website of the Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
• Duration: The internship is being offered during the month of July. The Summer Internship shall be for the period from 01.07.2024 to 31.07.2024.
• Last Date to apply for this programme is 25th June, 2024 upto 5:00 p.m.

3. NITI Aayog Internship 2024

Undergraduate/postgraduate students or research scholars enrolled in recognized universities/institutions in India and abroad can apply for the NITI Aayog Internship Scheme. They will work closely with NITI’s verticals/divisions/cells. Applicants will have to apply online by filling up the registration form.

• Eligibility: Bonafide students of any recognized University/ Institution within India or abroad, fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for the internship:
  • Undergraduate students, having completed/appeared in the term end exams of second year I 4th, semester of the bachelor degree course and secured not less than 85% or equivalent marks in 12th class.
  • Graduate students having completed/ appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester of their postgraduate program or pursuing research/PhD and secured not less than 70% or equivalent marks in Graduation.
  • The students who have appeared in the final exam or just completed Graduation/PG and waiting for admission to higher studies may also be considered for internship provided that they have secured 7 Ooh or more cumulative marks in all the years/ semesters of their graduation/ post-graduation till the date of application.
  • The period between the month of declaration of the result of the final exam and the desired month of the internship should not exceed six months e.g. if the result is declared in the month of June then he/she can apply for the internship beginning till the month of December.
• Duration: The period of the Internship shall be at least six weeks but not exceeding six months. Interns not completing the requisite period will not be issued any certificate.
