5th National Moot Court Competition by CLS, GIBS, Delhi [Cash Prizes Worth Rs. 35k;Offline; May 20-21]: Register by April 30

The 5th National Moot Court Competition is being organized by CLS, GIBS, Delhi, at their campus on May 20-21.

About GIBS

Gitarattan International Business School was established in 2004 under the aegis of the Rohini Educational Society. The society is proudly running various other successful institutions in Delhi, like the Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training, the Gitarattan Jindal Public School, and the Sovereign School.

About the Moot Court Competition

The National Moot Court Competition is an annual national-level competition organized by the Courtroom, the Law Society, the Centre for Legal Studies, and Gitarattan International Business School.

It brings together students from different law schools in the country to compete in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment. It aims to give law students exposure to important issues arising in contemporary socio-economic and legal environments.

Eligibility

  • Students pursuing their full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB program (1 team per program per institute) from a university or Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India, are eligible to apply.
  • Subject to the provisions of this Chapter, the Organizing Committee shall accept the registration on a first come first serve basis.

Format of the Competition

  • The Competition shall comprise Qualifying Rounds and Advanced Rounds.
  • The Qualifying Rounds shall consist of two Preliminary Rounds and the Advanced Rounds shall consist of two rounds viz, Semi-Final Round and the Final Round.
  • The draw of lots for the preliminary round 1& 2 shall be conducted on May 19, 2023. For the subsequent rounds, the draw of lots shall be conducted in front of the qualifying teams. 

Registration

  • The moot court competition shall be conducted in offline mode. 
  • The participants are required to register as a team of 3 students viz, a speaker 1 and speaker 2 and a researcher.
  • The payment of registration fees amounting to Rs. 3,000/- per team shall be made by the prescribed payment procedure. The registration fee is non-refundable in any case. 
  • The participating team shall mandatorily email a scanned copy of the duly completed Registration Form, Travel Form (if any) and Authorization Letter along with the receipt of payment(screenshot) to nmc@gitarattan.edu.in.
  • Registration will not be allowed without an authorization Letter from the college. 
  • The Organizing Committee shall send a confirmation of participation email after verifying.  
  • Any failure or non-adherence with the aforementioned procedure may be treated as a withdrawal from the competition and no claim of whatsoever nature shall be entertained thereafter.

  • Release of clarification document: May 3, 2023
  • Last Date for Submission of Memorials (Soft Copy): May 5, 2023
  • Last Date for Submission of Memorials (Hard Copy): May 9, 2023
