1. JOB POST: Teaching Position for Elective Courses at NLSIU, Bangalore [Full-time; On-site]: Apply by May 31

NLSIU invites interested persons to offer Elective Courses at the University in the first trimester (July 1, 2024 to September 20, 2024) of the Academic Year 2024-25.

Elective Courses vary in their focus and pedagogy. Three types of Elective Courses are common at NLSIU:

  • Taught Course (predominantly lecture/discussion based, with an exam);
  • Research Course (focused on review of primary and secondary research leading to a Term Paper);
  • Practice or Clinical Course (focused on field work, simulation, drafting or litigation exercises examined through the clinical methods).
  • Eligibility:
    • Individuals who are desirous of teaching elective courses at NLSIU must invariably possess a graduate and post-graduate degree in law or the Social Sciences.
    • Post-qualification experience of 3 years or more will be preferred.
    • Alternatively, they may have at least 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice.
    • Individuals who have published widely in their fields of expertise, shall be preferred.

3. Call For Applications: ARROW Advocacy Institute (AAI) Cohort 2 [For Women]: Apply by May 31

The ARROW Advocacy Institute (AAI) Cohort 2 aims to provide an opportunity for women and young people in their diversity to focus deeply on their choices by unpacking the SRHR, and its intersection to be relatable to the specific context of their lives, work, or lived realities.

  • Eligibility:
    • Call for applications is open to women and young people in their diversity from the Asia-Pacific region.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the area of human rights and gender equality at a community, national or regional level.
    • Be between the ages of 18 to 35 years.
  • Duration: The institute will span over six weeks, with a session each week. It will be conducted virtually. Sessions will run for approximately 3-4 hours and consist of two parts: a lecture by the lead facilitator and their team on the relevant topic, followed by a tutorial session. During tutorials, participants will be divided into groups/rooms for weekly assignments focusing on regional or country-specific contexts.

4. 1-Year Online Foundation Course on Judicial Examination by Into Legal World Institute [5 Days/Week; 1 Hour;]: Register by May 31

The course, eagerly anticipated by aspirants, is designed to provide comprehensive guidance for the Judicial Service Examinations. It is taught by highly qualified faculty members from Into Legal World Institute, who are not only experienced educators but also practicing advocates with substantial expertise in preparing candidates for judicial and civil services examinations.

  • Eligibility: The current batch is available only for students from 1st Year to 5th Year of BA LL.B or BBA LL.B course and 1st to 3rd Year of LL.B Course, and LL.M Pursuing.
