Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is organising the 7th GNLU Moot on Securities and Investment Law (GNLUSMIL) 2023 from 05 to 08th October 2023.
About GNLU
Gujarat National Law University is a premier national law university established in 2003 with the aim of promoting excellence in legal education as well as legal research. Its unique research-based teaching methodology focuses on encouraging students to think independently. Since its inception, the University has been holding regular in-house moot court competitions, after which meritorious students are sent across the country as well as abroad to participate in moot court competitions.
About the Moot
Since its establishment in 2015, GNLUMSIL, being India’s first and only moot court competition in this niche area of law, has garnered praise for providing a platform to students to be able to simulate challenges faced by the Indian capital markets, and at the same time, offering them an invigorating opportunity for research and learning in the domain of Indian securities and investment regulation.

Eligibility Criteria
Any student pursuing an undergraduate LL.B. degree programme or its equivalent conducted by any recognized Institution/College/University in India is eligible to participate. A recognized Institution/College/University shall be entitled to send only one team for the competition.
General Rules
- In this edition of the Competition, all the Teams desirous of participating in the Competition should provisionally register themselves by sending an email to gnlumsil@gnlu.ac.in through the Moot Court Committee of their Institution/College/University or the Faculty Coordinator of the Moot Court Committee.
- Final registration formalities should be completed by the Team only after receiving an affirmative reply from the OC to the provisional registration email.
- Each Team is required to upload an authorisation cum bonafide letter issued by the appropriate authority of their Institution/College/University
How to Register?
- Each Team must register by filling up the Registration Form available below and paying a registration fee of INR 5,000. A scanned copy of the duly filled Registration Form and the bonafide letter from the University should be uploaded on the Google form provided in the rules.
- The registration fee is INR 5,000 per Team.

- Last day for Final Registration: September 5, 2023
- Dispatch of Team Codes to participating teams: September 10, 2023
- Last day for submitting the soft copy of the Written Submission: September 20 2023
- Last day for submitting the hard copy of the Written Submission: September 25, 2023
- Preliminary Rounds: October 6 to 7, 2023
- Quarter-Finals, and Semi-Finals, Finals, and Valedictory Ceremony: October 8, 2023
