Considering the allegations, the heinous nature of the offence and the evidence available on record, single-judge Dinesh Kumar Singh found no good reason to grant bail to the accused Sameer Khan.
“Bail application is accordingly rejected,” the Court held.
The accused used to work in Mumbai where he met deceased woman. Thereafter, the couple lived as husband and wife/live- in partners after moving in together into a rented apartment in Lucknow.
As per the First information report (FIR), the accused brutally murdered the deceased.
The accused himself confessed that he cut the body into six parts. Later, the amputated body was discovered stuffed inside two bags in a secluded place.
