[Amarnath Yatra] Delhi High Court seeks response from shrine board on plea alleging malpractice in helicopter bookings

The Court was dealing with a petition by an organisation named Indian Council of Legal Aid and Advice filed through advocate Avadh Bihari Kaushik.

It was stated that whenever a person goes to book the online ticket for helicopter rides to Amarnath, he is directed to the websites maintained by the helicopter companies and these websites have hired agents.

These agents are already in Jammu and Srinagar and charge exorbitant rates for the packages thereby, causing monetary loss to the government and the shrine board, the petitioner alleged.
